Jamie Lewis is a Royal Society University Research Fellow and Associate Professor in Supramolecular Chemistry at the University of Birmingham. His group’s research interests are broadly in the design and synthesis of functional supramolecular molecules and materials, including organic and metal-organic cages, coordination polymers, and mechanically interlocked molecules.

Jamie obtained his PhD (2014) from the University of Otago, New Zealand, under the supervision of Prof. James Crowley. He then joined the group of Prof. Steve Goldup at the University of Southampton, initially as a PDRA and subsequently a Marie-Skłodowska-Curie Fellow. He began his independent career as an Imperial College London Research Fellow in 2017 before moving to the School of Chemistry at the University of Birmingham in 2022.
