Glenn A. Burley (GAB) is Professor of Chemical Biology at the University of Strathclyde. GAB was awarded a Bachelor of Medicinal Chemistry (Hon. I) and a PhD in Organic Chemistry from the University of Wollongong, Australia. GAB was a post-doctoral fellow at the University of Sussex (2001-2003) and an Alexander von Humboldt Fellow at the University of Munich (2004-2006). GAB began his independent career as an EPSRC Advanced Fellow in 2007 at the University of Leicester, before moving to Strathclyde in 2011.

GAB’s expertise is in the development of tools, chemical probes and technologies to modulate transcription and RNA splicing. In addition, GAB has an interest in the development of new bio-orthogonal chemistry methods to prepare cell targeting bioconjugates.
