We are proud to announce that the UKRI funded network “FoldNetUK” (see APP7951) is now open for funding applications.
The aims of this Network are;
- To encourage the development of collaborations that use synthetic folded architectures – particularly towards chemical biology/medicinal chemistry, catalysis, and materials applications.
- Opportunities include;
- Pilot Research Projects: The Network will fund the travel and subsistence up to £3000 per visit (of any duration) to kick off a collaboration which can be anything from knowledge transfer through to interdisciplinary experimental research.
Apply - Focus Workshops:
We will provide funding (up to £4500) for 1-day focused workshops (3 awards per year) for up to 20 delegates in person, and on-line. These would drill down into a specific aspect of foldamer research pertaining to one of the three network themes, and also hopes to reach out to new communities and industrial partners.
Apply - Outreach Funds: We will offer funding to support members to attend UK events for network outreach activities and in creating videos on behalf of the network.

The first funding round closes at 11:59pm (GMT) on 31 July 2025. Applications must be from individuals and organisations based in the UK. However, non-UK participants can be involved in activities if justified.
